Congratulation Balendran Kandeban for being selected to the Grand Jury Members for New York Festivals International Radio Program Awards for the 5th. consecutive year.

NYF International Radio Program Awards is a World renowned Awards ceremony which is judged online by award winning Directors, Producers, Writers, Reporters, Creative Directors, Program Directors, and various other radio industry experts from across the globe who volunteer their time.

Balendran Kandeban is the Director, Business Development, MBC Radio Networks, The Capital Maharaja Organisation Ltd SRI LANKA.

With over 15 years of experience in Electronic Media Business in Sri Lanka and India, having completed his MBA at Victoria University in Australia, Kandee was the former Director, Sales & Marketing at Sri Lanka’s most powerful news provider – News 1st, Channel Head of Shakthi FM, No.1 Tamil Radio Station in Sri Lanka with an audience that spans the world, and currently the Director, Business Development of MBC Radio Networks, the leading Sri Lankan broadcasting company which owns five national radio stations (Sirasa FM, Shakthi FM, Yes FM, Y FM & Legends). A renowned media personality and the host of Sri Lanka’s version of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ where he has hosted over 250 shows, also hosting a popular Socio-Political Saturday Radio Breakfast Show “The People’s Power”.

In 2015, he was recognized by the Australian Government as one of the “Most inspiring young global leaders of Australia” and was a recipient of “Young Achiever Award” of Victoria University, Australia and 2014 Australian Alumni Excellence Merit Award for Business Administration and Leadership, awarded by the Australian Trade Commission. He is also a visiting lecturer and course advisory board member of Victoria University, Australia.

நோய் வந்த பின் மருந்துக்காக அலைவதைவிட அந்த நோய் வராது தடுத்தல் தான் மிகவும் சிறந்த மருத்துவ முறையாகும்###

மனித சமுதாயத்தின் தோற்றத்துடன் தான் மனிதனை தாக்கும் நோய்களும் தோன்றியிருக்க வேண்டும். இயற்கையின் அற்புதங்க்களை அவதானித்து அவற்றின் உண்மைகளை தெளிந்து கொண்ட மனிதன் மனித சமுதாயத்தை தாக்கும் நோய் நொடிகளில் இருந்து தன்னை பாதுகாக்கும் வழிமுறைகளையும் தேடினான். இன்று அறிவியல் துறையும் மருத்துவத் துறையும் எவ்வளவோ தூரம் முன்னேறியுள்ளன எனினும் நவீன தொழில் நுட்ப வளர்ச்சியும் அறிவியல் அடைவுகளும் புதிய பல நோய்களை தோற்றுவித்துள்ளன என்பது மறுக்க முடியாத உண்மை. இப்புதிய நோய்களில் பல எமது கவலையீனத்தால் விளைகின்றன இதில் இருந்து எம்மை பாதுகாக்க நாம் எடுக்க வேண்டிய முன் எச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகளும் போதிய தடுப்பு முறைகளும் வலியுறுத்தப்பட வேண்டியது இன்றைய சூழலில் மிகவும் அவசியமாகின்றது.

நிகழ்வு: உசன் ஐக்கிய மக்கள் ஒன்றியம் - கனடா நடாத்தும் வருடாந்த கோடைகால ஒன்றுகூடலும், பொதுச் சபைக் கூட்டமும், புதிய நிர்வாகசபைத் தெரிவும்.

திகதி: June 26, 2016 ஞாயிற்றுக் கிழமை

இடம்: Milliken Park (Picnic Area B, with shelter). வழமையான இடத்தில் அல்லாமல் புதிய இடத்தில் நிகழ்வு நடைபெறுவதைக் கவனிக்கவும். McCowan Road மற்றும் Midlefiled Road இரண்டுக்கும் இடையே Steeles Avenue East ல் McCowan Road இற்கு அண்மையில் நுழைவாயில் உள்ளது.

நடப்பு நிர்வாகசபையின் பதவிக் காலம் நிறைவடைவதால் புதிய நிர்வாகசபை தெரிவு செய்யப்பட வேண்டியுள்ளது. நேரகாலத்துக்கு வந்து நிர்வாகசபைக்குப் புதிய உறுப்பினர்களைத் தெரிவு செய்து ஒன்றியம் மேலும் சிறப்பாக இயங்க உங்கள் பங்களிப்பை வழங்குமாறு அன்போடு வேண்டி நிற்கிறோம்.

குழை சாதம் சமைப்பதற்கும், BBQ chicken ஐ பக்குவமாக grill செய்வதற்கும் உதவியாளர்கள் தேவைப்படுகிறார்கள். மனமுள்ளவர்கள் உடனடியாக ஒன்றியத்தின் செயலாளர் பாஸ்கரனோடு தொடர்பு கொள்ளுமாறு வேண்டப்படுகிறார்கள்.

The committee of United People Association of Usan in Canada cordially invites you for the Summer Get Together of 2016.

Event: Annual Summer Get Together, General Meeting and Election of New Committee

Date: Sunday, June 26, 2016.

Location: Milliken Park, Picnic Area B with Shelter. (Please note the change of location from the usual location.) The entrance is closer to McCowan Road on Steeles Avenue East between McCowan Road and Middlefield Road.

As the life time of the current committee expires, a new committee will be elected. Please show up early to participate in the election of the new committee. New faces will bring new ideas. We request to elect new members to the committee for the betterment of the organisation.

We are looking for volunteers for grilling the BBQ and to cook the vegetable rice. Please contact the Secretary, Baskaran, as soon as possible to confirm your availability.
