9 years young Tisya SaiSri Elankeeran, a Grade 4 student at Wendat Public School in Stouffville, Ontario, Canada, has proudly become one of the youngest participants to earn a Guinness World Record after taking part in a remarkable international blindfolded Rubik's Cube challenge. On July 11, 2026, Tisya joined fellow participants in Brampton, Ontario, alongside a larger team in Hong Kong connected through a live video link, to successfully set a new Guinness World Record for the most people simultaneously solving rotating tactile puzzle cubes at multiple venues while blindfolded. Among the participants in Brampton, Tisya distinguished herself as the youngest girl in the group. Demonstrating exceptional memory, focus, and determination, she became the second participant to successfully solve the Rubik's Cube while blindfolded during the record-setting event. The achievement marks the team's second Guinness World Record. In 2024, the group established its first world record with 398 participants completing the blindfolded challenge. Building on that success, organizers increased this year's target to 449 participants — 111 in Brampton and 338 in Hong Kong — successfully earning another place in the Guinness World Records. Tisya's accomplishment serves as an inspiration to young people everywhere, demonstrating that age is no barrier to achieving extraordinary goals through commitment, perseverance, and hard work. Her success reflects not only her individual dedication but also the encouragement and support of her family, coaches, educators, and the broader community.
